The inspiration for this work came during a museum afternoon with an extensive collection of early Pueblo pottery.
The featured vessel is wet felted by hand, with nine layers of roving to insure sturdy durability. Size is approximately 6 1/2" tall, and 7 1/2" at its widest point, slightly asymmetrical.
Material is natural color brown and cream Navajo Churro fleece, with some gold embellishments. The gold color is derived from gathering and boiling Rabbit Brush, a native plant of Colorado and much of the Southwest.
